Gordon Snell

A football star is coming to Ballygandon! Mickey Mascarpone is recovering from an injury and wants to lie low and avoid the tabloid press. He stays in Molly’s house and becomes a friend of the Ballygandon Gang, helping to coach them for the big match with the junior league team, the Ballygandon Giants. There is even more excitement when an ancient map is discovered which shows that treasure may be buried near Molly’s own house. Not only the Gang but the local villains are on the trail of it, and midnight vigils and fake hauntings are staged to foil them. The Gang also use their sleuthing skills to expose an illegal dumping operation at the local quarry, but what they find out leads them into great danger. Will they be in time to outwit the culprits, as well as unearthing the treasure and helping the Giants to win the Cup?
