Claire Allan was born and raised in Derry and is a self confessed home bird. She spends her days working as a mild mannered reporter for the Derry Journal, where she has worked since 1999. She is married to Neil and they have one son, Joseph, who is four going on 14, and baby daughter, Cara. Claire's debut novel, 'Rainy Days and Tuesdays' was published by Poolbeg Press in 2008. Since then she has become a spokesperson for Aware Defeat Depression on the subject of Postnatal Depression.
